Lyndsey Fry
Lyndsey Fry is an engaging speaker, respected member of the professional hockey community, entrepreneur, and life-long learner. Lyndsey’s journey is as inspiring as the life she has created for herself.
Lyndsey grew up in Chandler, Arizona. When she was born, less than 20 girls in the state of Arizona played ice hockey. However, at age five, she fell in love with the movie The Mighty Ducks and decided that she wanted to be a hockey player, despite the odds. She played on the boys’ team until high school when her family discovered she needed experience playing on a girls’ team to pursue hockey at the college level. Because of the lack of nearby teams, she flew back and forth to Colorado for the majority of her time in high school.
Starting in 2010, Lyndsey went on to play four years of Division 1 college hockey at Harvard University, where she also received a degree in History of Science. During her time at Harvard, she took a year-long leave of absence to play for the 2014 Olympic Ice Hockey Team, where she won the silver medal with Team USA.
After graduating, Lyndsey saw her chance to give back and provide female hockey players with an opportunity she never had – to play competitive, girls hockey locally. She began running hockey camps for girls in small hockey towns, like Chandler, throughout the United States and started her own business, Lyndsey Fry Hockey. Her love of entrepreneurship inspired her to enroll in Arizona State University; she graduated with her MBA in 2018.
Shortly after, the Arizona Coyotes hired Fry as a Hockey Ambassador and Advisor to the President/CEO. She was instrumental in creating two all-girls Arizona hockey programs, Small Frys and the Arizona Kachinas. Since their initiation, other NHL clubs, such as the Chicago Blackhawks, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Washington Capitals, have modeled their programs after Arizona’s.
In 2019, Fry was selected to be a member of the NHL’s first Female Hockey Advisory Committee, where she helps guide the NHL as they strive to be more inclusive of women and girls. In 2020, Fry was part of a team that brought the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association to Arizona.
Today, Lyndsey has taken all the lessons and insights she learned in her athletic and professional career to guide others toward their potential. As the inventor of LEWP, a scientifically-backed approach toward finding fulfillment, Lyndsey is highly sought after for motivational speaking engagements, professional coaching, and personal advising.
While other speakers often rely on hyperbole, Lyndsey speaks with practicality and purpose — infusing her own experiences with a deep understanding of how they can be applied to her audience. As a brand ambassador for Paradox, she’s been a wonderful reflection of our values and an excellent example for our team — creating the future she wants to see in the world, and always putting others above herself. Her success is the result of good, old fashioned hard work, and she’s a true inspiration for anyone who knows her well. We’re honored to count her as a partner.
